..Had a good session today, working on the background.  The glazing will unify my fragmented universe ..as my painting teacher used to say... that will be in a couple of sessions.  The image is  quite recognizable, but next one I'm going bigger and looser.  As far as this canvas goes, it is still missing a few thicker brushmarks in the middle to further define the river or light and dark in the center shape, and a bit more smoothing of the background with some glazing layers.....also to deepen the color.  I have been thinking also of modifying my palette, to remove the descriptive element of color as well... maybe not the next canvas though...still establishing the Solange series confines.  all for now, x

Processing lots of information, but there is a backlog because so little is coming out...still, very intrigued with the beginning of the Solange series who, after all, was the person who inspired the move towards abstraction in the swimmers...
